This blog will discuss about the journey to the communist society with respect to Marxism in most simplified terms. This module doens't explain any Detailed definitions. I prepared this thread for the beginners who want to learn Marxism.
Economic crisis.
This is exactly as it sounds. Capitalism has a pattern of recessions and depressions. Capitalism is unstable. As the system moves further along, these economic downturns become more and more frequent eventually leading to collapse.

Immiseration of the Proletariat.
These economic crises impact the lower and middle class more, plunging them deeper into poverty and eventually making the inequality of capitalism impossible to ignore.
As the exploitation continues, it will strengthen the working class.

Revolutionary Class Consciousness.
The class divide becomes too obvious to ignore. This causes the working class to critically examine the situation gaining them class consciousness and making them realize the ruling class must be overthrown.

Seizure of State.
As class consciousness is obtained little by little, strikes, boycotts, demonstrations, etc. will grow larger and larger. Eventually this will lead to the seizure of the state. This can happen by various means.

Marx predicted this would happen via a proletarian revolution, civil war, by general strikes or potentially in some cases by a vote.
Dictatorship of the Proletariat.
This stage is often misunderstood as saying "communism requires or prefers dictatorship" which would be a misrepresentation of this step. What this really means is that the working class is now in charge instead of the bourgeoisie.

Withering Away of the State.
This stage has the potential to take many years. As time passes the hope is that eventually class and state will fall away, leaving a universal class living together in harmony where no one rules over anyone else.

Communism
We did it! Finally, communism is obtained, leaving a society that revolves around ability and need instead of wealth and privilege. As Marx would say "from each according to his ability, to each according to his need".

Leaving truly free people not held back because of lack of wealth or privilege. Now the exploitation of labour is out of picture. A classless society that holds a common ownership of the means of production is thus established.
